Tantalize, I think not…

It took me forever to finish reading Tantalize.  I do enjoy the stories about werewolves and vampires but not when they are redundant and uninspiring. Tantalize is a perfect example.   As my co-worker said, “It has all been done before.”  So frankly, it was rather boring and dry because it didn’t offer anything new.  In retrospect,  I expected too much because of the book cover and summary description.  Oh well.

Definitely, check out: Annette Klause’s Blood and Chocolate, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, Melissa De La Cruz’s Blue Blood series, Ellen Schreiber’s Vampire Kisses, and Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely (which I haven’t read yet but I am very excited about it because of what I’ve heard).

ECLIPSE, IS IT WORTH THE WAIT???

THE LONG AWAITED and continued story of Edward and Bella.

Eclipse has finally arrived.  Well, Eclipse was like an eclipse, metaphorically, for me. It definitely was not up to par in comparison to the other two books.  There was too much dialogue, reminding readers about every little thing that happened in the previous books—Monotonous. There was no real action.  The best part of the story involved Jacob.  This book focuses on a love triangle between Edward, Isabella and Jacob. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they are both in love with Bella. Anyway, I’m not really into love triangles so for me it could have been avoided. In this book, Bella and Edward are together as a couple and Jacob is still Edward’s mortal enemy but join forces to protect Bella.  Both Edward and Jacob are in love with Bella….blah, blah, blah…Bella still wants to become a vampire.  As a character, Bella shows no growth whatsoever and remains dependent on the Cullens. We also get the back story of Rosalind and Jasper, and the LaPush.  Jacob Black is irresistible…he’s arrogant, funny, strong yet vulnerable.  He’s everything that Edward should be but isn’t.  So I am looking forward to the next book.  Overall, this is a good series for those who love vampire stories.
